Fertilization occurs this week! The sperm meets the egg in the fallopian tube, forming a single cell called a zygote. This tiny cell contains all the genetic information needed to become your baby, including sex, hair colour, and eye colour. The zygote begins dividing rapidly as it travels down the fallopian tube toward the uterus.

You likely won't feel any different yet. Behind the scenes, progesterone levels are rising to maintain the uterine lining. Some women report a slight dip in temperature at the time of implantation.
